First great results obtained with RSIP
by Cedric de Launois - Mar 27th 2002 15:56:44
Several interesting tests have been performed recently :
- A GnomeMeeting was started on a private RSIP host and was
successfully contacted by a public host. This was not possible with NAT/PAT
unless you installed a specific H.323 module.
- RSIP may now be used in practice as an alternative to the NAT.
Recently, I used RSIP to allow an update of my Linux on one of my private
hosts, downloading at more than 200KBytes/s. Performances doesn't seem to
be bad...
Now, I need some people to beta-test the server on various
configurations, and to help me in packaging the server.

I've installed it today and all the circunvolutions needed by iptables
scripts to get services running inside a private network is history now. I
would like to be a beta tester for this great project. Maybe some
contributions at the rpm packaging for RH latest release can be donne for
me, too.
