About:
ExactAudio is a C++ digital audio signal processing library formerly known as GSMP. It features non-destructive editing, multiple channels, and real-time FX preview. It is very interactive, as all the major work is done in background threads, and files are not converted or copied during importing. The underlying streaming framework also provides support for VoIP, and a simple audio player is included.

Going the distance
by Wolfpack Entertainment - Oct 22nd 2001 06:46:23
The name and attitude sound promising for a strong start, but in the past
history sound editors for Linux for the most part do not really reach the
point to useability before they are abandoned. When they do get abandoned
they don't catch up with the current sound implmentations on Linux and thus
become unuseable. Not to discurage but to remind not to repeat history. I
really would love to see this project reach a level of useability! :)
There's also two items missing on the dependencies those being libsig and
gtkmm which were not filed as dependencies (hint).
