How good is a project page in Freshmeat if it's not updated? Isn't that what Freshmeat is all about? They are at version 3.3.1, but Freshmeat only knows about 3.2 by the time I'm writing this. Please ask the folks at transgaming to update Freshmeat at *every* release.

[»] Downloading WineX CVS version
by Roberto Bertó aka DarkElder - Nov 22nd 2002 22:58:27

Go to your shell:

1) Loggin in into CVS server (when asked for a password press enter):

$ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex login

2) Getting CVS sources:

$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex co wine

Easy :-)

    [»] Re: Downloading WineX CVS version
    by Peter Folima - Jul 2nd 2003 10:00:53

    Hello, I am trying to get the WineX 3.1 CVS version and I am totaly unsuccessful and it drives me mad. Maybe it is because I am behind a firewall...? Is there any possibility to get WineX sources in .tar, .tgz or anything similar? The cvs commands mentioned here do not work for me and I am not a developer and am not really comfortable about hacking cvs problems. I always end up with "connection refused." Can you help me please? Looking forward to hear from you soon... --folima

      Hello,

      Probably you cannot download it since you're under firewall and cvs do use a unusual port number.

      I made a cvs checkout today and put today cvs snapshot at http://darkelder.que.com.br/opensource/wine-3.1-cvs-2003-11-12.tar.gz

      I'm afraid I'm answering your question too late.

      Best regards,

      Roberto.

by Roberto Bertó aka DarkElder - Nov 22nd 2002 22:54:35

I wrote some Install Instructions at Mini How-To: Running Astonia Under Linux.

It can be example on how install Windows games under Linux. I made an example to install Astonia.

Also, there are anothers links inside the site.

In addition of Astonia How-To, I recommend some links to people who wants install WineX from CVS:
