[»] In progress

I try your software 6 months ago, because i need some easy use and non-X window cdwriter interface.
So, these days, i try the latest versions, it was pretty cool, because many mistakes from first versions were recovered, more powerful and...more and more easy to use, this script software grow up fastly !

True. The first versions contained some nasty bugs, since I didn't bugtest them enough. (And I didn't have any help.) Now I think Magma has grown up and becoming something you can actually use.

[»] Rename to something else?

You might want to consider using a different name,
as there already exists a software project called magnus
that does computational group theory at http://www.grouptheory.org/
Specifically,

OK, I'm an idiot. Wrong project, but there DOES already
    exist a magma project:

Hmmm...well, anyone has any good ideas as what to rename Magma to? Personally I don't think there is a real need to change the name since these two projects does not "compete" in the same category and, well let's face it Magma isn't used by that many people. But who knows...
