About:
Exim is a message transfer agent (MTA) developed at the University of Cambridge for use on Unix systems connected to the Internet. In style it is similar to Smail 3, but its facilities are much more extensive. Exim is in use at many sites around the world.

Not fresh anymore?
by David Necas (Yeti) - Aug 15th 2004 13:04:12
Does anyone announce new releases? Current version of Exim is 4.41 while
4.34 is shown as the latest here. Kind of spoiled meat... <sigh>

Seems like somebody's forgotten about this site. There's still the exim-announce
mailing list though.

Exim is excellent!
by Brian Knotts - Mar 18th 1999 06:35:16
I have recently had to switch to sendmail (not by my own decision) at work,
and it is crude by comparison. Exim is very configurable, but its
configuration is much more straightforward. Also, the GUI eximon thingy is
very useful. I find myself wanting to use it, and missing it.
I run exim on my home box still, and will use it whereever possible in the
future.
Many thanks to the people working on exim; your hard work has resulted in
the best mailer daemon, bar none!
