The Amahi Home Server is a Linux Home Server based on Fedora (and later on Ubuntu). Your machine becomes a "Home Digital Assistant" or HDA after the installation. Each HDA is a Fedora-based server targeted for home and home office environments. It provides an iTunes server, calendaring, a wiki, shared network storage, network backups, a printer server, VPN, and a plug-in architecture built on Ruby on Rails.

Changes:
This release includes a major improvement to the user and share management interfaces in the Amahi HDA setup pages. In addition, some fixes were made for Samba shares server configuration and for platform stability in the absence of or with failures in external networking.

The unixODBC project provides Unix applications with the same ODBC 3.51 API and facilities available under Windows. It provides a Driver Manager that supports the full ODBC API and performs the ODBC 3 to ODBC 2 translations with UNICODE to ANSI conversion. It also includes a set of graphical utilities that allow users to specify connections to DBMSes to be used by applications, a collection of ODBC drivers including a simple text based driver, an NNTP driver, a Postgres driver and others, and a selection of templates and libraries that to aid in the construction of ODBC drivers. It works with MySQL, Postgres, StarOffice/OpenOffice, Applixware, iHTML, PHP, Perl DBD::ODBC, and many other applications and drivers. Connection pooling is also provided to increase performance with applications such as PHP.

Changes:
Many bugs were fixed, but the most important change is to switch the default way the driver manager builds on 64-bit platforms with sizeof(SQLLEN) equal to 8.

PrinterSetup is a flexible printer setup system. It is tailored to institutions with more than 20 deployed printers. It is designed to work with CUPS on Mac OS X. PrinterSetup is a component of PrintingWorks, a print accounting solution. There is limited documentation. Apple package deployment requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and is untested on earlier versions. Apple package development requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and Xcode 3.0 or later.

Changes:
This release includes the second incarnation of the dynamic deployment system for Mac OS X. A key aspect of this release is how much less time it takes to get the dynamic deployment system packaged up and deployed to client machines for a specific domain. You no longer need to edit the various files by hand. Instead, you can run a script which will copy the template and configure them to your domain.

GraphicsMagick is a robust collection of tools and libraries which support reading, writing, and manipulating an image in over 90 major formats including popular formats like TIFF, JPEG, JPEG-2000,PNG, PDF, PhotoCD, SVG, and GIF. Changes:
Speed was improved. The system benchmarks even better against ImageMagick than before. Multi-threading was tuned based on exhaustive testing on many systems. Image rotate by 90 and 270 degrees is now multi-threaded. The MSL/conjure utility is fixed and no longer leaks memory. The RPM build is also fixed.

retypar converts photos, drawings, etc. into text. The result can be saved as text, HTML, ANSI,or as an image (JPEG or GIF). You can influence the conversion by altering certain options (font, font size, scale factor, color etc.). This program is translated into German, English, French, Spanish, and Italian. In addition to the graphical interface, there is a batch mode that allows you to convert a number of pictures with a single command.

MUSCLE (Multi User Server Client Linking Environment) is an N-way messaging server and networking API. It includes client-side networking APIs for various languages, including C, C++, C#, Delphi, Java, and Python. MUSCLE lets programs communicate over a network via streams of serialized Message objects. The included server program ("muscled") lets its clients message each other and store information in its server-side hierarchical database. The database supports flexible queries via hierarchical wildcarding, and "live" updates via a subscription mechanism.

This release adds AddArchiveMessage(), FindArchiveMessage(), and other convenience methods for easier archiving of objects to messages and back. It also redoes the human-readable time values interface to use a class instead of individual value arguments, and fixes several small bugs.

FmPro Migrator migrates FileMaker databases to MySQL, Oracle, Access, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, OpenBase, PostgreSQL and FrontBase. Perl CGI scripts are generated for each FileMaker layout within the database, and include customized data entry and data validation for each layout field. FileMaker to FileMaker 7/8/9 table consolidations are also supported, thus enabling developers to take advantage of the new FileMaker 7+ security model. Aliwal Geocoder pins your data onto a map, helping you visualize the "where" factor. Start with global satellite images and then zoom in to street level details. Each map pin has a label and a popup balloon filled with the information you choose. Tagsets provide filtering to help you break it down. It can read KML files (just like GoogleEarth) or import comma separated CSV files from Excel.
